G-d said the following to Avraham (Abraham) during the Covenant Between The Pieces:
".. You shall know very well that your children will be strangers in a land that is not theirs and they shall serve them and afflict them for four-hundred years. And I will also judge the nation that they serve and afterwards they will leave with great possessions (Genesis 15,13-14)."
In the year 2418, someone convinces thirty-thousand people from the Tribe Of Ephraim that the time for the long-awaited redemption has arrived. These people ignore the views of the mainstream elders of the Jewish people. Instead, they revolt against Egypt, break out of enslavement, and they march towards the Promised Land. They are massacred by the Philistines as they near the land.
The following chart compares their calculation for the four-hundred years with the time line of the Egyptian exile and redemption.
